Breaking: Hijacked plane with suspected bomb lands in Cyprus
A hijacked passenger plane with a suspected bomb on board has landed at Larnaca Airport in Cyprus.
Eight Britons and ten Americans were said to be amongst the 81 passengers on board the Egyptair flight - but all except cabin crew and four foreign nationals have been allowed to disembark.
Reports say the pilot was threatened by a passenger with a suicide belt and more than one hijacker is thought to be involved.
The airline confirmed that flight MS181 is "officially hijacked" on Twitter.
Update: Egyptian President Nicos Anastasiades has confirmed the hijacking is not being treated as an act of terrorism
