Could this be Britain's thriftiest pensioner?

Meet Britain's most frugal pensioner Ilona Richards - who has made a washing-up liquid bottle last one whole year!

The 66 year old spends no more than £1 on every meal and aims to save money on virtually everything - preferring to keep the heating off and wear extra clothes.

The retired lorry driver started cutting back after giving up her job and now even asks asks guests to her home in Scunthorpe, North Lincs., to bring their own tea bags so she doesn't have to fork out for a cuppa.

She recycles pet food pouches into shopping bags, and has even turned old car parts into arty home furnishings!

Ilona joins us live from her home to share more of her unique money-saving tips!
