Weekday evenings

Ali Spencer

Fiercely loyal to her family and protective of her kids, Ali’s a salt of the earth type who’s blunt and gritty - but funny and likeable. Ali and her girlfriend Ruby set tongues wagging in Emmerdale when they first moved to the village but they have now become a strong, positive presence on screen and formed solid friendships throughout the village.

Ali faced backlash from her family when she moved them all to the village to be near her sister Rachel. Ali saw the move as a fresh start for them all especially for Sean as she hopes he will get into less bother than he did on their previous council estate. After admitting she was illiterate, Ali has gone from strength to strength to learn to read, and has even gained a supervisor role at work. Determined to be independent, Ali won’t thank people for criticising, but if her kids are out of line then she’ll be the first to whip them back into shape..unless she agrees with them!
